DSH Hacks V2: AI x Healthcare Hackathon – Submit by November 14, 2026
DSH Hacks V2 is an online, worldwide hackathon for students who want to build AI-powered healthcare products and coding prototypes. The event is organized by DSH Hacks and hosted collaboratively by DeltaForge Hacks, NXT Horizon and STEMise. Submissions are open now and run until November 14, 2026 at 11:45pm PST.
The challenge is focused on AI x healthcare: participants are expected to create technical products that address real-world healthcare problems. Eligible submissions can include an app, website, simulation, system, algorithm or another coding prototype, as long as the project includes user interaction and is supported by the required submission materials.
Because DSH Hacks V2 is online, students can participate from many locations around the world, subject to the country and territory exclusions listed by the organizers. The official hackathon page is hosted on Devpost, and participants should use that page to join and submit their projects: DSH Hacks V2 official Devpost page.
What participants and winners can get
DSH Hacks V2 lists $100k+ in non-cash prizes. These prizes are not described as cash awards. Instead, the prize pool includes sponsor-provided benefits such as credits, subscriptions, licenses, memberships, gift cards and scholarship benefits.
That can be useful for student builders because non-cash prizes may help teams keep developing after the hackathon. Sponsor credits can support hosting, tools or product development. Licenses and subscriptions may improve a team’s workflow. Memberships, gift cards and scholarship benefits can also support learning and future technical growth.
As with any hackathon prize pool, participants should read the official prize descriptions carefully to understand which awards are available, what conditions apply, and whether any benefits are limited to eligible teams.
Who can apply
DSH Hacks V2 is open to students aged 13 or older who are members of an educational institution. The hackathon excludes companies and professional organizations, so it is aimed at student participants rather than businesses or established professional groups.
The event is described as worldwide and online, but country and territory exclusions apply. If you are planning to join from outside the United States, or from any location where hackathon participation rules may vary, check the official Devpost page before spending time on a submission.
How to apply or register
- Visit the official Devpost page. Go to the DSH Hacks V2 page and review the overview, rules, eligibility, prizes and submission requirements.
- Join the hackathon on Devpost. Use Devpost to register for the event before preparing your final submission.
- Build a coding prototype. Create an app, website, simulation, system, algorithm or another technical product related to AI and healthcare.
- Prepare a demo video. Record a clear walkthrough showing what your project does and how users interact with it.
- Write a one-page PDF description. Summarize the healthcare problem, your AI-related approach, the product features and what your team built.
- Include your code. Submit a GitHub repository or a code PDF, as required by the hackathon.
- Submit before the deadline. Make sure all materials are uploaded by November 14, 2026 at 11:45pm PST.

Practical tips to stand out
Choose a focused healthcare problem. A broad idea like “AI for hospitals” can be hard to evaluate. A narrower problem is easier to explain, prototype and demonstrate. Pick a specific user, workflow or pain point, then show how your project helps.
Build a balanced team. For a student hackathon, a strong team does not need to be large. Try to cover core skills: someone who can code the main prototype, someone who understands the user problem, someone who can test the flow, and someone who can communicate the project clearly in the video and PDF.
Make the demo easy to understand. Judges may review many submissions, so do not hide the best part of your project. Start the demo with the problem, show the working product quickly, and explain the AI x healthcare connection in simple language. If something is unfinished, be honest and focus on the parts that work.
Before applying, confirm every detail on the official website, including eligibility, deadlines, submission requirements and prize terms. Legitimate programmes never charge an application fee.
